Privacy Policy

pharmaranks (“we”, “us”) operates an independent ratings and information service for pharmaceutical, supplement, and wellness companies and products. This policy explains what personal information we collect, why, and the choices you have. We are an information service — we do not sell products and we are not a covered entity under HIPAA.

Notice at Collection (California)

We collect these categories of personal information (CCPA/CPRA): identifiers (name, email — only if you submit a review, inquiry, or contact us); internet/usage activity (pages viewed, outbound clicks, request metadata); and a salted, irreversible hash of your IP (spam-prevention only — not the raw IP). We collect this to operate, secure, and improve the site and to respond to you. We do not collect or process sensitive personal information for any purpose beyond what you voluntarily send us, and we do not sell or share personal information. We retain each category only as long as needed for these purposes (see Data retention). See Your privacy choices.

Information we collect

  • Information you provide. When you submit a review, an advertising / sponsorship / data inquiry, or contact us, we collect the name, email address, and any message content you choose to share.
  • Technical & usage data. Server logs and a salted, irreversible hash of your IP address (used only for spam prevention and rate-limiting — we do not store raw IP addresses tied to submissions). Standard request metadata (user agent, referring page, timestamps).
  • Outbound click data. When you click an affiliate or partner link we record the click (which page it came from, a hashed IP, timestamp) to measure performance. We do not control what partners collect once you leave our site.

How we use information

  • Operate, moderate, and improve the service (e.g. publish verified reviews).
  • Prevent spam, fraud, and abuse (rate-limiting via hashed IPs).
  • Respond to inquiries and provide advertising/partnership information you request.
  • Measure affiliate/referral performance in aggregate.

How we share information

We do not sell your personal information. We share it only with: service providers that host and operate the site (e.g. our hosting and CDN providers) under confidentiality obligations; affiliate/telehealth partners only when you choose to click through to them (your interaction there is governed by their policies); and as required by law.

Cookies & similar technologies

We keep this minimal. We use only essential first-party cookies that make the site work (e.g. an admin session and remembering your cookie notice). We do notrun third-party advertising or cross-site tracking technologies — no ad pixels, no analytics SDKs, no behavioral-ad cookies are loaded on our pages. We measure outbound affiliate clicks on our own server (first-party), not via third-party tags. When you click an outbound affiliate/partner link, the partner's own site may set cookies to attribute the referral — that happens on their domain under their policy, after you leave ours. You can clear or block cookies in your browser at any time. If we ever introduce third-party advertising, we will update this policy first and add the required consent controls (including a certified CMP for EEA/UK visitors).

Some outbound links are affiliate links: if you act on them we may earn a commission at no extra cost to you. This never affects our ratings. See our advertising & affiliate disclosure.

Data retention

We keep submissions and inquiries for as long as needed for the purposes above or as required by law, then delete or anonymize them. Hashed rate-limit records are short-lived.

Your privacy choices & rights

We do not sell or share your personal informationfor cross-context behavioral advertising (or otherwise), so there is no “sale” or “share” for you to opt out of. We also do not run third-party ad or tracking technologies on our pages.

Global Privacy Control (GPC). We honor the GPC browser signal. Because we do not sell or share data, sending GPC requires no change in how we treat you; we still record it as a confirmed opt-out and our cookie notice acknowledges it automatically.

Depending on where you live (California — CCPA/CPRA; EU/UK — GDPR), you may have the right to know, access, correct, delete, or port your personal information, to opt out of sale/sharing, and to limit use of sensitive personal information. To exercise any right, email [email protected] (we may verify your request). We will not discriminate against you for exercising your rights.

Children

The service is not directed to children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect their data.

Changes

We may update this policy; material changes will be reflected by a new effective date above.
